Through the development of case studies, BONUS BASMATI will explore various MSP situations ̶ designation of new marine protected areas (MPAs), identification of suitable aquaculture sites, and Pan-Baltic tourism and shipping issues. The case studies will identify, collect, produce, and supply data and maps concerning ecosystem services and human activities as a basis for the assessment and visualisation of alternative scenarios and their effects on ecosystem service provision. Case studies will also extensively involve stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, and make the MSP process participatory and interactive.
